Update – City of Toronto reaches tentative agreement with CUPE Local 416

This morning the city reached a tentative agreement with CUPE Local 416, which represents 4,200 of the city’s outside workers.

The tentative agreement must be ratified by the Local 416 membership and subsequently approved by City Council. Details of the agreement will be released once it has been ratified and approved by both parties.

Negotiations with CUPE Local 79, which represents 21,000 inside city workers, are ongoing, and I’ll be sure to provide regular updates.
