LDD Moth Aerial Sprays
The City will be conducting this year's aerial spraying against LDD moth caterpillars (formerly known as European Gypsy Moths – an invasive species in Ontario) during May or June. City staff have advised that the exact spray dates are determined by several factors, including caterpillar development, leaf size and weather conditions.
Spraying in designated areas will be conducted between 5:00-8:30am and public notice will be given to residents in spray areas 48 hours in advance. In Ward 15, aerial sprays are being planned for the perimeter of Sunnybrook Park, and the City has already carried out egg mass removals and TreeAzin injections in many other areas.
