Important Update – Home Energy Loan Program
Due to a significant increase in demand, City staff are temporarily pausing the intake of new Home Energy Loan Program (HELP) applications.
Since its inception in 2014, HELP has enabled thousands of Toronto families to make their homes more energy efficient, which reduces greenhouse gas emissions and supports the City's net-zero targets. To support the growing popularity of the program, the Environment & Climate division is preparing a report to City Council with a new, scaled-up implementation model.
While HELP applications are paused, the City is encouraging residents to consider applying for similar programs, such as the Canada Greener Homes Loan or Home Efficiency Rebate Plus.
