Major Updates to the Application Information Centre
I am pleased to share that the City's Application Information Centre (AIC) has been relaunched with significant improvements to the user experience. These improvements were undertaken in response to a motion I successfully moved in December 2022, which directed City Planning staff to clearly outline key application data and statistics on the AIC.
The AIC is a City resource that provides information on all active Community Planning, Committee of Adjustment (CoA), and Toronto Local Appeal Body (TLAB) applications in Toronto. Changes to the AIC include a redesigned, intuitive search function, improvements to accessibility, and mobile functionality. In addition, users can sign up for automatic email notifications for new development applications in one or more Toronto wards.
As I have reported in previous newsletters, Provincial Bill 109 has removed preliminary reports for newly proposed developments, making transparency and accessibility more critical than ever. This relaunch is the beginning of a series of changes to the AIC by City Planning and Technology Services.
The complete User Guide for the new AIC can be found here.
As always, information and updates on development applications in Ward 15 can also be found on the development map on my website.
