Restoring Eglinton Avenue After Crosstown LRT Construction

Over the last few months, Metrolinx has finally cleared all of the major intersections on Eglinton Avenue, including at Yonge Street, Mount Pleasant Road, and Bayview Avenue. As a next step, Metrolinx and the City are preparing to begin pavement restoration where the road surface has been significantly damaged by heavy construction vehicles.

In a recently published report, Transportation Services outlined the anticipated restoration schedule. At this time, the City plans to perform road resurfacing works on Eglinton Avenue, between Keele Street and Mount Pleasant Road, in 2024. The section between Mount Pleasant Road and Brentcliffe Road is scheduled for resurfacing in 2025.
